    The so called bad cholesterol (LDL) inhibits the breakdown of fat in cells of peripheral deposits, according to a study from the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet. The discovery reveals a novel function of LDL as a regulator of fat turnover besides its well-established detrimental effects in promoting atherosclerosis. The study, which is a collaboration of two research groups at Karolinska Institutet, is published in the open-access journal PLoS ONE.

Matthew Probst, CPT, MES
Matt founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of The Shady Springs Group for 12 years. Subsequent to selling three of four divisions of the company, Matt has held positions with various companies including Corporate Controller for RMS Investment Corporation, a Commercial real estate management company and Chief Financial Officer for Martin Designs, a stationary importing and wholesale distribution business. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron and has completed the necessary requirements for a real estate certificate. Upon completion of college Matt spent 3 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Company’s Middle Market Advisory Services Group. The group specializes in the auditing and management consulting of startup and growth oriented business including the initial public offering process with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Together With Mike Gromofsky, he founded Personalized Wellness Center January in 2005 and holds a personal training certification accredited by The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Additionally Matt has attained a Medical Specialist Designation awarded by the American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehab Professionals.


Michael Gromofsky, CPT
Graduated from the University of Dayton with a major in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. Mike spent 3 years as an Account Executive at a database-marketing firm working with well-known restaurant chains to increase foot traffic through corporate incentives. He has spent the last 10 years in the financial services industry working for Charles Schwab & Co. focusing on Defined Contribution plans. Mike has held many positions with the company, focusing on client service and talent management. Currently, he is a project manager focusing on large scale corporate projects that emphasize an integrated client experience. Mike is Series 7 and 63 licensed and is pursuing his CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation.

Together With Matt Probst, he founded Personalized Wellness Center in January 2005 and holds a personal training certification accredited by The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
